DESIGN & CONSTRUCTION/HOTEL MANAGEMENT

An industry veteran with over 30 years of hospitality experience, Michael oversees all areas of design and construction as well as operations to include hotel, kitchen and bar design, and restaurant concepts. The foundation of his success lies in his education from Johnson and Wales in Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management.

Early in his career, he dedicated his talents to several country clubs, including Club Corporation of America South East and The Cliffs Golf and Country Clubs as well as the Spartanburg Country Club in Greenville, SC where he served as the Club Manager until 2004. During this time, Michael also served as a consultant for Atwood Architects in the area of kitchen design and operations.

In 2005, he joined JHM Hotels out of Greenville, SC as the Corporate Director of Food & Beverage where he oversaw 40 hotels over 14 different brands. During this time, he earned numerous awards for his achievements, including the Food & Beverage Excellence Award, Service Excellence Award, Global Event Management Awards for Leadership Excellence and Team Excellence from Marriott.

Michael then served as the Vice President of Food & Beverage for McKibbon Hotel Management group based in Tampa, FL. Michael oversaw 126 hotels over 14 hotel brands at McKibbon.

Michael then served as Vice President of Food & Beverage for Vision Hospitality based in Chattanooga, TN. He again applied his design expertise for 43 new construction hotels and 16 renovations to maximize profitability and productivity.
